and so it's a post-election-type question.

By now, it's surely too late,

but I'll ask, I'll ask, just in-click-in case.

No, it's not too late.

This was a pretty clear and unambiguous result,

the election, but still a close election by pre-2016 standards.

Democrats have also lost the Senate and are near certain to lose the House,

but Democrats still managed to hold Senate seats in three states that Trump won,

and the GOP House majority will be very narrow.

Is this a major regime change election in a way that 2016 was not? Something like a 1980 election, perhaps? By the standards of pre-2016,

it doesn't feel like one. Maybe it's more like Bush's 2004 win.

But by the standards of the past eight years, it does feel more like a regime change election.

To the extent that it's a regime change, it's less about the congressional counts

than the extent to which Trump will be able to do the extent that it's a regime change, it's less about the congressional counts than the
