All right, first day of the year, first Sunday of the year,

first sermon of the year.

Are you ready?

Let's start with prayer, Father, God, we give this day to you.

We proclaim that this day belongs to you. It's the first day of the week.

We give this year to you, Lord God, this is your year, give us your will for our life

for this year and God we declare that this place, this space, this piece of ground, it belongs to the Lord Jesus.

It is for his purposes, it is for his pleasure.

And right now, Lord Jesus, we invite your presence.

Amen.

The principle of first is this, that we give first fruits to God.

This is the first Sunday of the year. The Sunday is in the Bible called the first day of the week.

So we're going to give ourselves as first fruits. We're going to give our year as first fruits.

We're going to give our hopes, our dreams fears our longings our budgets our schedules we're

going to give it all to God and we're going to have God first God last

God with us God in it, God through it.

It's going to be a great, great, great year for you,

and we're going to teach you today how to kick everything off,

including this day and this year in prayer.
