a space lawyer asking how to take possession of a part of the moon where you've landed a private

enterprise, a private craft, and had rovers or testers around you. That's going to happen more frequently now.

And how is it yours so someone can come in there and damage your property or take possession

of where you've parked? Laura explains adverse possession what it means. And she uses the

analogy of a cattle ranch and cattle grazing land.

If you're there for seven years, then you can claim it as long as the owner knew and did nothing and other people knew.

You're very open about it.

So you have to be open.

You have to be hostile.

You have to be in possession.

And I think that these principles have been used in,

you know, they've been around since the Middle Ages, and so they've been used in lots of different

circumstances from, you know, New England to the barren lands in Texas. And the courts, when they're

trying to decide one of these cases, will look at, oh, well, this is one of my favorite. You know,

you've got your cattle grazing on someone else's land. And you're trying to say,

I get to keep doing that because he didn't stop me for 20 years.
