podcast I'm Galen Druk and the first presidential debate between

former President Trump and current President Biden just concluded as you all know

at this point it is the earliest presidential debate in history.

And this is one of those weird times for us here at 538, where there's not a lot of data to discuss because all of the pollsters who are going to try to gauge how Americans feel about what we just saw are just getting their pulls out in the field now and so it's going to take a little bit.

Even here at 538, we partner with ipsoe

and ask the same sample of voters before and after how

they experience the debate.

Even that will still take about a day or so, maybe a little less before we get the results there.

I've been tracking some stuff on Google trends and predicted and so on to try to get the best quantitative

in the moment sense of how people feel because at the end of the day,
