Hey, it's Guy here. So, you know, we're all pretty used to the idea of storing our stuff in the cloud, right?

Like our files and our photos and our music at all lives up there somewhere.

But when Jennifer Hyman launched Rent the Runway, she essentially wanted our clothing to live in the cloud too.

So she created a website with this huge inventory of women's clothing that you never had to own.

You would just rent it and send it back.

Jen calls it a closet in the cloud. Here's a story of how she and her partner built Rent the Runway, this episode first ran in August of last year.

I said, you know, we should really call Dan von Furstenberg, the famous fashion designer, fast forward a few weeks and we're driving to the second meeting.

And her assistant calls and says, Dan, no longer wants to see you.

She's not interested in this idea.

And I said, oh yeah, we're just around the corner. Like we'll just drop by for a second.

And again, her assistant very firmly said, she doesn't want to see you.

What do you not understand? And I said, oh, we're cutting off. We're cutting off and I hung up.

And then I sped down the West Side Highway and we were at her office and we just showed up.
