We're going through the Cinderella story of the old testament in six weeks with two amazing characters

Ruth a Moabite gal who was widowed bow as an older wealthy affluent single guy

They fall in love get a little bad counsel from a gal named Naomi and God works it all out

So they can get married have a baby named Obed and through him would come another guy

You might have heard about his name is Jesus. You're gonna love this love story

What a weird text this is one of the weirdest texts in all of Ruth one of the weirdest texts in the whole Bible

Here's the story of Ruth. There are three primary human characters all of whom curiously enough are single

There's Naomi Ruth and Boas so Naomi is an older woman

She was one of God's people she lived in a town called Bethlehem and

Literally that place that was called the house of bread had a famine that lasted the better part of a decade

It was consequence for God's people in disobedience

So what her husband did a man named a limolek he made a foolish decision to relocate his family to an entirely

Different nation a place called Moab
