Well howdy past Mark Trisco here wanting to welcome you to my series on Ruth the big little love story

We're going through the Cinderella story of the old testament in six weeks with two amazing characters

Ruth a Moabite gal who was widowed bow as an older wealthy affluent single guy

They fall in love get a little bad counsel from a gal named Naomi and God works it all out

So they can get married have a baby named Obed and through him would come another guy

You might have heard about his name is Jesus

You're gonna love this love story and I thank you for your prayers

I thank you for your support and your gift of any amount as we get God's word out to God's whole world

Alrighty if you've got a Bible go to Ruth chapter four if you've got a Bible and let me catch you up on the story

If you're new the story begins in a town called Bethlehem

It's basically over near the temple Israel God's people worshiping God there about three thousand years ago

It literally means house of bread and because God's people were being disobedient

He withheld some of his provision and a famine hit literally in the place named the house of bread and so

Families had to decide how will we respond what will we do one family was led by a man named a limelock

He was the husband and father and he had a wife named Naomi and they had two sons male on and killion and he made

Actually tragically faithfully a bad decision

He moved his family all the way to another country called Moab and Moab is a place that God's people were not supposed to live

There weren't

Opportunities there to worship God to learn the scriptures to to be in God's presence to be with God's people

And so he made this foolish decision to relocate his family only thinking about the economic needs not really the spiritual needs of the family

And so the family ends up in Moab there therefore
