Since the launch of this channel, we have looked at a number of mysterious disappearances

in and around the national parks of North America, which were identified through the work

of David Poliders.

Over the next two episodes, we will be examining a cross-section of his research, which receives

perhaps the least publicity and analysis, those of the near-missing 4-1-1.

It has now just been over a decade since David Poliders first went public with his research

into the many unexplained disappearances, which have occurred in North America's national

parks.

His work is notable for the sense of mystery and downright seriousness it exudes, as well

as the way in which it conveys the feelings of grief and loss, experienced by the loved

ones of those who have vanished.

Amongst the many examples he has cited, it is commonly those cases in which little or

no trace was ever found of the missing person, which have received the highest degree of

notoriety.

But his insistence, unlike many others across his field, not to commit to any one definitive

theory about what may be responsible for this tragic and recurring phenomenon, is as ominous

as it is for strating.

There are, however, a number of cases identified during the course of his work involving witnesses

who were seemingly able to step back from the brink of disappearance.

Otherwise unremarkable, salt of the earth people, whose extraordinary experiences have often

been picked apart and ridiculed by their communities when they have been brave enough to come forward

and share them.
