delivered the longest speech in U.S. history, a mere 25 hours and five minutes, breaking

strong Thurman's record for his filibuster against civil rights.

He was mayor of Newark from 2006 to 2013. It's Cory Booker. How you doing, Senator?

I'm doing really well. It's great to be with you. Thank you for having me.

Thank you for doing it. I want to get to filibuster talk, but unfortunately there's a lot of news.

Last night, Russia launched 70 missiles, about 150 drones, and one of the

largest attacks on Kiev. Yeah, their attacks all over Ukraine. Our President Trump said he's,

he's not really happy with the Russian strikes on Kiev, but his harsher words for President

Zelensky and saying that his inflammatory statements are making it difficult to settle the war.

I'm wondering what you think about the state of play.

I think this president has betrayed American traditions, American allies, and frankly, the incredible

people of Ukraine. His leadership over the last hundred days has almost been like an invitation

to the Russians to continue has almost been like an invitation to the Russians

to continue what has been roundly condemned by the international community

as a unjustified war of aggression.

And that allowances and coddling of Putin has endangered democracies across the world and endangered the world order.

And the way he's conducting it and this most recent peace proposal he has, the treatment of

Zelensky and the demeaning and degrading way he discussed, talks about him as the dictator

and coddles Putin.
