Summary

How should we respond to God when we face despair? In today’s episode, Emma Dotter and Join the Journey Intern Lauren Fricke go through Psalm 69 as David walks through deep despair yet turns to God in honesty and reliance. This psalm is a wonderful reminder of God’s faithfulness and protective hand when we go through the harder times of life.

0:23.6	having high school intern the summer, but you've been gone for a little bit. A while, most of the
0:28.5	month, actually. But that was, it was allowed. Give us a few fun summer highlights. In June, I really enjoyed getting to go to the National Speech and
0:40.6	Debate Tournament for my club. So that was really fun. It was very, very challenging. I took a lot
0:45.7	away from that. Then right after that, I got to go to an apologetics camp where we got to visit
0:51.9	a mosque. And so I got a kind of glimps into a whole
0:54.7	different religion. It was so different than what I kind of expected. But it was so enlightening.
1:00.4	And getting to talk to people and ask questions about the difference between the Quran and the Bible
1:04.4	was really enlightening. Just gave me a lot more confidence. So a couple of things. But yeah,
1:09.2	it was really, really fun. And then this week,
1:11.5	though, you've had some fun things going on. Yeah. So last minute, actually last week, I decided to
1:16.9	sign up for Watermark Worship's music, their worship camp. And so it just- For students, yeah? Yeah, and it
1:22.6	just started today. So it was really fun. Got to learn different harmonies. And we're kind of seeing everything come together.
