From the Jill Schwartz Memorial Library here in sultry, Savannah, this is is obscure season four in American tragedy. I am your host your friend, your ear lover and literary mansplainer in chief. Michael Ian Black just had myself what can only be described as breakfast for lunch.

Just had two bowls of cheerios, what do they call it?

Oop nut, oat nut cheerios or something and and as I was eating

particularly the second bowl I was reminded of a study I read recently which said breakfast cereals are just about the worst thing you can eat because

they're all just highly processed sugar. That's all they are. And in the case of my breakfast cereal, which I had for lunch, also delicious. Just a terrific product that I don't know what it is the Cheerios oat nut crunch or so it's just oats

Well the Cheerios are oats. They're made with oats and then on top of that they put more oats

and then they sprinkle about two pounds of sugar over it.

Absolutely fabulous. So I just had that and in only a couple hours, not even a couple hours, hour and a half from now, I got to get myself into a car and head off to the airport for the second episode of Have I Got News for you? We shot the first one last week. This week obviously will be the second one. And so far so good. It was very fun to make for the first time in quite a while I don't I don't dread going to work

what a nice change of pace for me. You know one of the dirty little secrets at least one of my dirty little secrets about being an actor is once you get the job

And you're so excited to have the job then you have to have the dread of actually doing the job

Which is you know

considerable it's considerable dread on my part particularly when I first start a job you know and you don't know anybody there and they don't know you, and then you have to be polite and try to remember people's names, which of course is impossible.

I don't even know why we have names. They're impossible to remember. It just seems like maybe we should do away with them altogether.

And the acting part is hard. It's hard work. You know you got to you got to remember

lines in addition to names. you have to stand on the

you have to stand in the correct spot somebody's always fiddling with your

hair or your makeup your wardrobe and oftentimes it's cold outside which I don't care for and you know the whole

experience and then you have to do it like a hundred times you know it's because you

got to shoot the thing a hundred times it just takes forever and it's annoying and the hours are long. The opposite

with this show where I sit down at a desk, they touch my hair once, they touch my makeup once,

they turn on the cameras, I joke around for two hours, and then I go home.

What a dream job this is.
