As usual, supine on the Jack Jack Memorial Reading Throne,

getting excited to start a brand new chapter here in the book.

Also excited because Martha said she's going to make a carbunera tonight,

and while I am not eating meat and haven't been for the last year or so, I will confess to a certain amount of excitement that the panchetta that is

going to go in the carbonara, I'm going to pick around. But let's be honest, it's still going to have

that drippy panchetta flavoring right there in the sauce. And I'll be getting all that pork

grease into my tummy without the

associated guilt of actually eating the panchetta. But Michael, if you enjoy meat, why are you not

eating it? Well, I don't know. Getting older, you know, health reasons, ethical reasons, the whole thing.

But the rest of the family isn't on board. So every once in a while, I get their pan drippings, you know, mm, mm, mm, everybody likes a pan dripping. Does that make me

a bad vegetarian? You bet it does. Does it make me a hypocrite? Sure. But as I have often said,

I am fine with hypocrisy so long as the hypocrite is me. And as we get ready to start this brand new chapter,

I mean, just so many things to look forward to. You know, I've gotten into this schedule revolving

around the shooting. And we've only got the shooting of the show, not any kind of gun violence.

We've only got three more episodes, eight, nine, and ten.

And so that's a little dispiriting. But for the next three weeks, what I'll be doing is I go to New York

on Thursday. I shoot on Friday. I come home on Saturday. And then Saturday, I'm always just

exhausted. I don't know if it's the flight, you know, rest and relaxation. And lately I've

been watching NFL football, which I find to be fun. It's not something I always do, but I've been
