A guy called John Feeleon was the originator and he called it originally the Silicon Stroll.

And literally we were saying as the emerging silicon docks was being developed in Dublin, some of the big names were coming to town.

And what we wanted to do was bring our entrepreneurs to meet with some of these foreign direct investment companies.

The genesis for the idea is based

in this truth. You have large companies on the one side and on the other side you have

start-ups and scale-ups, technology providers, but they don't know how to talk each other's language.

Connor Carmody lives just outside of Dublin with his wife, and they have three lads,

a.k.a. boys. Professionally, he worked in Eastern Europe around the time of the Berlin Wall.

He learned a ton about setting up businesses in a society that was rebuilding itself.

Today, he does a lot of advising, consulting around establishing and growing business.

Outside of his current venture, he likes to garden and claims he is the guy that counts

down the minutes until he can cut the grass again.
