It's too much to talk about.

But there have been a few positives

and one of the positives that I have been consistently thrilled by is the pool of talent of female

rappers working at a high level and a high level of skill and a high level of acknowledgement.

Those of you who are closer to my age will remember a time

when this was not a thing.

This was not a thing that happened.

There were fewer female artists. They were often

afterthought in male dominated crews. They were not given resources. They were not signed. They were not playing on radio.

My friends in the country music industry probably who are still living with this kind of

structure will understand exactly what was going on for female rappers in the 80s and 90s.

And here in 2020, if you're looking at Tik-Tok, if you're looking at Spotify,

you're looking at social media, maybe you're not seeing it quite as much on the radio,

but you are hearing more and more women.

And there's not unanimity amongst them.

They are inspiring and different and flexible talents. I mean, obviously, we're
