Hello and welcome to the Safey Ridge on Sunday podcast. It was a Scotland special this week

with a second independence

referendum in the offing. I went to Aberdeen to sit down with the First Minister, Nicholas Sturgeon.

And I also went to Edinburgh where I spoke to the Scottish Conservative leader, Ruth Davidson,

and the Scottish Labour leader, Keziad Dougdale.

When the UK voted for Brexit last June,

Nicola Sturgeon said that a second independence referendum in Scotland was highly likely.

And this week, after months of rumours, she finally confirmed that the SMP wants to hold one in either the autumn of 2018 or the following spring.

But the Prime Minister Theresa May, who remember has to agree to a second vote, has said that now is not the time.

So what on earth is going to happen with these two women head to head?
