Have you ever heard a phrase so much and even start to repeat it yourself?

But at some point you realize that you have no idea what it really means.

I feel like that's happened to me a lot, especially in my relationship with Jesus. There's a lot of things that I heard and even

regurgitated to other people, but never truly understood what it meant. And growing up, I would hear things

like crucifiers for flesh saved by grace

sanctification which all of these things are truth and biblical but I just didn't know

them for me so God's been taking me through this process of really unlearning everything I

thought I once knew and encouraging me to relearn like not based on what

someone else has said or from what I got from another individual but through what his word

has to say. So this season is going to be marked by really understanding the basics

and foundations of our faith,

asking the questions of what is the gospel, what am I saved from,

what am I saved for, how do I break cycles of sin, and a lot more.

But not just learning these things but also knowing what does it look like to put them in to practice.

Matthew chapter 7 verse 24 and 25 says,

but everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like the

wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down. The streams rose and the wind blew

and beat against that house,

yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.
