Stewardship, then, is not just a focus on money or material things, but also encompasses every spiritual blessing. In this study, making the most of all God

has given, Scott Pauley teaches biblical principles for Christian stewardship. One day, we will meet God

and give an account of how we have handled all of the resources he has put in our hands. Let's listen intently to learn how God expects us to steward his resources.

If someone had to describe you, how would they describe you? Would they describe you by your title at work? Would they describe you by

some accomplishment? Maybe the better question is not how would people think of you, but how

would you like to be remembered? You know, when we leave this world, we leave behind some testimony,

some reputation, some eternal epitaph that is either a positive one or a negative

one. It's either for the Lord or it is wasted. And so today we return to another principle of

Christian stewardship found in 1st Corinthians chapter number four that I think is so very important.

Let me read verse one again with you. I'm reading it. I hope frequently enough that it's getting

into your spirit and it's a good brainwashing by the way. It's the washing of water by the word.

Maybe it's getting in our minds and we're memorizing it, so we can meditate on it,

but here's the verse.

Verse Corinthians 4, verse 1, let a man so account of us as of the ministers of Christ and stewards of

the mysteries of God. I said to you in our opening studies that stewardship makes us look Godward first, because

ultimately it's all about Him. It comes from Him, it goes back to Him. In one place, the Apostle Paul

will say, of Him, through Him, and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen to that.

But I want to point out to you that your stewardship,

which is given to you by God and you're answerable to God ultimately, also has some influence

on other people. We're relational. Look, every one of us is connected to all the rest of us. So your

stewardship affects your family. It affects your neighbors.
