I wanna start today's program off by talking

a little about a guy who was a friend of mine

that I'd never met.

Like all of you practically, in the modern world,

it's crazy when you think about how different it is.

We all have friends that we've met or made online,

somehow message boards, discussion groups,

social media blogs, you name it.

Back in the day, and the analog version of that

is something like chain letters to pen pals or something,

but not on common.

My kids take it for granted that that's how it's been

since ancient Egypt.

So I mean, it's normal to have friends you'd never met

and there's a core group of people

that used to be on our old discussion board

back in the day when that was something

kind of different and unique and you needed something like that.
