How to protect people from getting sim swapped.

I must have become a target at that point because in 2018 I ended up getting mobile hacked.

I got sim swapped. And so it was more than just a crypto loss. I took down a startup that I had been working on.

So what I did during that time frame, I was thinking that somebody had to solve this.

A problem with centralization in general, right? There's all these data honeypots everywhere that are getting exploited.

If you are using just SMS verification alone, then you definitely have to worry about sim swaps.

But if you're using an authenticator app, you still can be sim swapped.

And it's not always about crypto.

A lot of people are having their banks access, their email, their cloud, their ICloud,

their hosting accounts if they're a small business owner.

One executive at a company got SIM swapped, and then it affected 66,000 people.

Just the 48-hour pain of having to argue with my provider to get my cell service back

was enough to make me not ever want to have to deal with that again.
