The simulation hypothesis is a school of thought and reported next step in the answer to existence that is furiously gaining mainstream attention.

Since the dawn of sentience, mankind is unrelentingly pundered over the nature of reality.

Every civilization has gone through philosophy, religion and science, trying to reconcile our understanding of existence and theorize on the as-yet-on-known and non-quantifiable aspects of perception.

And with those theories came the questioning of the very validity of the realm we all experience.

Ideas of a great fallacy, a veil that has everything we know and believe to be the only reality.

A simulated world whose artificiality is not perceivable to the consciousness contained within.

The signs of an all-encompassing universal construct have slowly presented themselves through generations of deduction and discovery.

From the laws of physics, which hold the parameters of our world together, to the Fibonacci sequence and the codes of biology.

And the theoretical field of thought experiments like Schrodinger's cat and young slits, which have provided their own aspects of investigation,

and have only deepened the debates of reality and consciousness among the upper echelons of high science.

But more recently, with the exponential rise of advancement in artificial intelligence and virtual reality technology,

the very real possibility that a future of creating our own indistinguishable intelligences and artificial artifices in which to populate them is not so far away.

And thus simulation theory seeks to hypothesize on these ideas, as we raise to a point of processing a memory power,

double-see our ability to create consciousness and reality, outstrip the existence and size of our own.

And maybe it already has.

Are the laws and equations of nature a clue to the origins of our reality?

Or does anything really exist until perceived by our collective consciousness?

Is our path to artificial universe creation on an unstoppable course?

And what are the moral pitfalls of a godlike ability to create?

Is an artificial consciousness less real than a natural one?

Are we now already within a running simulation of our own future creation?
