Andrea Yates called 911. Generally, when we call 911, something very, very bad has happened.

And Andrea's eyes, something just had happened, something that had to be done, something that she had to do.

She felt like she essentially had to save her children from her bad parenting, her bad, bad motherhood. She really believed this. She also felt like she had to save her children from her bad parenting, her bad, bad motherhood. She really believed

a very, very serious postpartum depression after back to back to back childbirth, five kids

in total in just a short number of years. But the kids had some behavioral

issues. She was always at home with them and she felt like things were wrong. She felt like she was

bad. She was hearing things. She knew that the devil was coming to take her children. And the

only thing that she could do to be a good mother was to take

them out of this world herself. There's a Bible verse and it says if anyone causes one of these

little ones to stumble those who believe in me to stumble it would be better for them to have a large millstone

hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the

world because of the thing that causes people to stumble. Such things must come,

but woe to the person through whom they come. Andrea thought it was her.

This was all her fault.

Everything was her fault.

Everything had always been her fault.

Everything had been her fault for her entire life.

That's how she rationalized bad things.

Bad things happen.

It's Andrea's fault.
