When I graduated medical school and became a doctor, we were entering into a very interesting

kind of political climate, which I now realized 10 years on is fairly cyclical.

We don't have enough clinicians. We're trying to maintain safe levels of staffing

and try to deliver high output of activities. But we're doing it with a finite amount of resource.

So essentially we're always trying to do more with less.

We're not, I think, your stereotypical tech founder. You know, we hadn't worked at some name brand, scale up business.

We weren't ex-Gouglers.

We didn't come from like famed consultancy backgrounds. We were just two doctors who ultimately

and today I am joined by Jing O'Yang, co-founder and chief growth officer of Patchwork Health,

a digital workforce platform for NHS staff. Welcome, Jing. Yeah, thank you very much. Nice to be

here. Now, I quite often don't start with entrepreneurs journeys because I think it's a bit of a

predictable question. But in your case, I am because I think it's quite an interesting one. You were a doctor in the NHS,

and then you became an entrepreneur. So tell me a little bit about what life as a doctor was like to start

with and then how you kind of discovered a problem that you thought was worth you becoming

an entrepreneur for to solve. Yeah, I suppose life as a resident doctor, this was around 10 years ago.
