And we decided to do a special to talk about this Zelensky-Trump, as they used to say at the White House to basically give some thoughts about what's going on, what might be going on, and what this might mean for the future.

Derek, before we even get into what went down between Trump and Zelensky, it might be

worthwhile for people who might not have been paying as close attention to the war in Ukraine,

for you to just tell them what is the actual state of play as Zelensky arrived at the White

House to sign a mineral deal that appears not to have been signed?

Yeah, so, I mean, if you're not listening to the American prestige news roundups. I don't know what to tell you. I mean,

frankly, you should be ashamed to yourselves. Yeah. I mean, the state of play hasn't changed very

much in months. The Russians continue to advance slowly, but surely they gain territory at a rate in 2024 and especially the latter,

I think, part of 2024, at a faster rate than any time since the initial invasion in February

2022, when they took a ton of Ukrainian territory all over the place, only to have to give

much of it up because they couldn't hold it, and they failed to achieve any of their initial

objectives, you know, vis-a-vis Kiev or car Kiev or other parts of the country. But they're

definitely, you know, on the move. They're moving in on key cities, Pukrovsk and other places in Dienetsk. They've captured already a number of significant areas, both from a logistical point of view and sort of a resource point of view.
