Today we're going to be talking about splitting expenses with friends in all of the

dues and do nots.

When it comes to splitting expenses with friends, a lot of times it's not just tangible, right? There's the tangible

problems where you're like, wait, how should we split things? What should I say? How should I ask?

But it's also the deeper than money side of it too, right? Because it's like, well, I don't want to

say certain things. Then my friends think I'm cheap. Or what if I say I can't afford something and then everyone's like, well, I don't want to say certain things. Then my friends think I'm cheap. Or what if I say

I can't afford something? And then everyone's like, wow, she's broke. And we're so worried about

not just what to say tangibly with the finances. There's also so much charge, energetic and

emotional charge behind these conversations that can lead to a lot

of stress around how do we split things? And then if we don't feel confident in the do's and

do nots of splitting things, then sometimes what happens is we're at a big dinner and somebody's like, oh, let's just split it evenly

and you're like, holy shit, I came here and ordered water and an appetizer because I didn't

want to spend much and now I'm stuck owing, you know, the person who paid $60 when I got a 10
