Summary

Dr. Arielle Harms and Taylor Kemp discuss the life and impact of St. Anthony of Padua. Born Fernando Bulhões in Lisbon, Portugal, St. Anthony became an Augustinian friar before eventually joining the newly founded Franciscan order. His incredible memory combined with his dedication to studies and prayer enabled him to travel around Italy as an eloquent and inspiring preacher. He converted many people through his preaching and was eventually named an evangelical Doctor of the Church.

0:54.7	not familiar with you, just a quick, what do you teach at the Augustine Institute? So I teach
1:00.0	pastoral theology. I'm the director of our pastoral theology program, the Master of Arts in
1:05.4	pastoral theology. So for all of those that are listening out there, who is like the ideal
1:10.3	candidate for who might be interested in our pastoral theology program?
1:14.1	Yeah. Many of our students either are working in a ministry, especially at parishes or at the diocesan level.
1:24.4	Maybe they're volunteers or maybe they're paid and employees.
1:30.3	But most of them are either working in that position or aspiring to work in that position.
1:37.3	Okay.
1:38.3	And decide they need a little bit more formation for what they are doing.
