Hello, welcome to Catholic Saints. My name is Mary, and I am joined with Dr. Ariel Harms. Thanks for being with us.

Thanks for having me. We are talking about the lives of saints. One of the topics that just seems to always expand, because there's so many saints for us to learn from and look to as

models and role models for our life of Christian discipleship. So today we are going to talk about

a very popular saint, especially in Colorado and in New York, St. Francis Xavier Cabrini.

And Dr. Ariel, can you share first?

Where did you learn about this saint?

Or do you have a special devotion to her?

Or when did you become interested in her life?

I probably started learning about her in grade school.

She's actually the first citizen of the United States to be canonized.

So she has that kind of interesting background, especially for us as Americans.

Yes.

Right.

So I'm sure that we learned about her probably during Catholic Schools Week or something.

Yes.

She's a grade school.

Okay.

And then, you know, she's been all over the

United States, as you said, you know, Colorado, New York, but also different places in the Midwest,

too. I know Chicago, she's got foundations. Yep. Wow. She really hit all the big cities. She did.
