Steve is running for Congress as an independent in California's 39th District.

Steve, it's a pleasure to welcome you to Amped up.

I really appreciate it.

Thanks for having me on, Ryan.

Since this is your first time on the show, why don't you start off by giving us a little bit about your backstory and why you're running for Congress?

Sure, the backstory is actually in 2017, May of 2017.

My real job, my actual job is,

I'm a photographer and journalist,

it covers motor cross and super cross racing.

It's not really a serious job per se, you know, because it's all, you know, it's a hobby,

sport and whatever, but, you know, that's my job in in 2017 in May so that's after Trump took office and after the the Democrats cheated Bernie the first time and all that stuff

I was driving up to Northern California from here for a race up there and just

kind of lamenting because I just turned 40 years old and I was just kind of thinking about like

when is when is somebody finally going to show up that I can

really support as a candidate as a as a politician somebody who I believe in who I

believes telling me the truth, stuff like that.
