So make yourselves comfy, and I'll begin.

Once upon a time, there lived a young spider called Tantalinius.

He was a vampula, half tarantula, half vampire.

He lived with his family in Tula Town,

high up on the mountains, surrounded by giant trees.

Every Spidey Night in Tula town was Halloween.

The spider ghosts and spider ghouls would come out.

And the Vampulas would trick or treat and play pranks.

And once a year on the first night of the full moon in October,

they would hold a web weaving contest.

It was the weaving contest of weaving contests,

the biggest in all the land.

Tantalinius was finally old enough and good enough to compete.

He had been training for this moment his whole life.

He would weave webs you thought impossible.

He would decorate them with pumpkins, flowers, squash, feathers, and the occasional fly. But he always let the flies go. They just came because he offered them a nice little

snack on the web, and in return they would stay until everyone had seen Tantalinius' latest work.

He was an artist.

Now it so happened that every year on this very day,

the Halloween howler would appear.
