Gustavo Ferrar. And let me tell you what, he's got a spicy name, but he's doing terrific

research helping, helping advance the field in something that we've learned about through the

pandemic and that is the nasopharynx, the nose in the mouth, as the entry point for infection.

Thank you for having me.

Why don't you start out with some information about your background and then into the work that you're doing. Absolutely. I'm a pulmonary

and curricular care physician. I trained originally in medicine in Cuba, came to America and actually

went to residency in Texas, and from Texas went to GW in D.C. And from from GW, after my training in pulmonary medicine,

I joined the Cleveland Clinic.

I came down to Cleveland Clinic in Florida,

where I spent half of my career in academia,

founded a fellowship, pulmonary and critical care fellowship.

Then I venture out to a new college in my area here in South Florida,

where we opened a second Puminary and Critical Care Fellowship.
