So there are a couple of different arguments I've heard right so one is that

when people say you know this will just embolden censorship of the left

or it's a slippery slope people will say well they're already going after the left or it's a slippery slope. People will say well they're already going

after the left and they're going to keep going after us. That's one argument.

The other one is that this isn't a free speech issue because YouTube isn't

the government and the First Amendment is about protecting you from the government

silencing you or taking away your free speech. Right. And the other one is that it is easy to carve out

hate speech from other forms of speech?

First of all, like, if we created a situation where there was a pretty direct lever over political speech and it was that we were able to

sort of decide willy-nilly that certain kinds of, that certain kinds of content were harmful, you know, and this is connected to the, I would say in a weird way to the Assange case because,

yeah, yeah, because the theory, the legal theory behind the latest prosecution of Assange is that the problem is not is both possessing and publishing

information that is harmful to the United States, right?

So you'd be making an assessment about whether or not

something is bad for the country, but that's completely

subjective, and it would depend almost entirely on who was making that call, right?
