Unfictional is a program of stories and personal documentaries and today on the program

the winners of KCRW's second annual 24-hour radio race on Sunday August 2nd at 10 a.m. Los Angeles time, teams from 18

countries around the world and 32 states here in the US set out on a grand and

foolhardy mission to create an original compelling and artful audio story in just one mad dash no sleep 24 hour period.

There weren't many rules. The stories had to be true, the bulk of the writing,

recording and editing had to be done within that 24 hours. So at the strike of 10 a.m.

the teams were delivered the theme for this year's race, which was,

You should know that you are about to make a life-altering decision

under the influence of way too much beer.

By the deadline 140 entries have been submitted.

You're going to experience euphoria.

You're going to be a super

Manilow you should know that I love you you should know that I care for you, baby. You should know that I want you.

You know that there's things in there and you know that some of those things are going to get hurt.

They covered everything from grocery bag filling technique.

Just being able to make sure that the bag will be able to hold what's inside of it.
