Today is all about the challenge.

The challenge involves the story of a very young, very unknown talent who came into the marketplace, came into comic books, took a title that was really being disregarded, not given much attention whatsoever, and within two months made it the busiest most talked

about comic book in the marketplace in the middle of a run it wasn't a launch

it wasn't a new number one and this my friends is the challenge why isn't

there more examples like this this talent who entered the market and turned this franchise, this character, and the history of this book completely around?

Rob Lafeld, I've been making the comics for four decades, 40 years, been consuming them for 50 years. If there is one thing I know, it is comic books. If there is one thing that I love, it is comic books. If there is one thing that

is my absolute passion, it is comic books. And it is such an absolute privilege to talk with

you about comic books, about the expansion of comic books, about the increased

awareness of comic books as they have grown since I was 7, 1974, watching them expand,

become fan favorites, titles like the X-Men, which nobody wanted, was suddenly turned

on its head and became the book

that everyone was talking about, which then becomes a series of blockbuster movies, which

then helps jumpstart this entire comic book film cinematic revolution that we're, we are still

right smack, dab in the middle of.

Sidebar, as far as that revolution is going, Deadpool Wolverine is a sample size.

It's not conclusive in as much as whatever is going to come next.

You cannot take Deadpool and Wolverine and draw any conclusions about Superman, which I'm rooting for.

I hope it does well.

Or the upcoming, I think next February, 2025, the Captain America movie. You'll know that they're

back when several really good quality comic book movies are released and stick the landing and connect with audiences in a big way
