Summary

When tonight’s guest, “Sam,” was growing up, in the hills of West Virginia, his family used to tell him to be careful when he was in the woods because if he wasn’t careful, the Cowcur would get him. You see, “Cowcur” is what locals called a white Sasquatch, in the area, that didn’t exactly have the sweetest disposition. That’s something tonight’s guest found out one day while he was deep in the woods with his grandpa. In fact, Sam’s uncle had a run-in with the Cowcur that frightened him so much, he shot it. After shooting it, he refused to ever go back into the woods. Making matters worse, “Sam” had a neighbor come up to him, one night, and tell him about the time he had been attacked by the Cowcur. His neighbor actually had the scars to prove it too! How dangerous is or was the Cowcur? That’s anyone’s guess. The only thing that can be said about it, definitively, is that if you’re going to go into the woods where “Sam” grew up, you’d be well-served to keep your head on a swivel. You wouldn’t want the Cowcur to get ya!

1:07.0	I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the stories that and experiences that have happened to me as a young child and even as an adult.

1:22.0	It all really started when I was a kid growing up.
1:26.0	I lived directly next to my grandfather, which would be my father's father and my grandmother. I was probably about five years old when he
1:38.0	started telling me stories. He was born in 1907 in Clay County, West Virginia.
1:47.0	And one of the stories he first told me was that he was cutting timber for I guess they would make the
1:57.6	rail ties for railroads they were cutting wood and he was a young man at this time probably in his mid to late 20s.
2:09.0	One morning they got up to go down and start the production, you you know cutting the wood and getting everything
2:13.8	ready and as soon as they got to the spot where they left the day before he said that there was
2:19.8	this rustling of the bushes and trees and something was making a god-awful noise and he heard
2:27.0	low growls and almost like a high-pitched that worked up into like almost a high pitch screaming.
2:34.3	And that's when this eight to nine foot hairy creature stepped out
2:41.9	and started waving its arms and screaming at him and the other guy that's with him.
2:47.8	And he never called it a Bigfoot or a Sasquatch.
