Summary

On February 13, 2017, Liberty German (14) and her best friend Abigail Williams (13) had an extra day off school due to a snow day. They had a sleepover and fatefully decided to go to the Monon High Bridge in Delphi, Indiana to hang out.

They were dropped to the bridge at around 1.45pm on February 13 by Libby's sister. This is the the last time the pair were seen alive.

Libby and Abby were brutally murdered and their bodies were discovered the day after they went to the bridge - Valentines Day 2017.

Their case has had wide media coverage, partly due to footage that the girls took of the alleged suspect right before their murders. There is some infamous audio of the suspect saying 'Guys, down the hill'. There is also some fairly grainy video footage of the man that Libby shot with her phone.

Now, almost five years on from the girls' murders, no arrest/s have ever been made in their case. It almost seemed to be going cold. Until just a few days ago.

Indiana State Police made an appeal for information about an online user name - anthony_shots

The anthony_shots profile was fake and used images of a known male model. The profile’s creator portrayed the model on his account to be extremely wealthy and showed him owning numerous sports cars.

Very quickly, internet sleuths and media outlets tracked down a man who regularly used that user name - Kegan Kline. Kegan is already in jail, arrested on 30 counts, including child exploitation, possession of child pornography and obstruction of justice. Legal documents that have been made public prove that he used the name anthony_shots online.

Join us for this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast as we discuss the murders of Libby and Abby, as well as the new information regarding Kegan Kline in relation to this case.

What's up guys welcome to another episode of the True Crime Society podcast with Stephanie

0:22.1

and Olivia as you guys know probably already because the title this episode is going to

0:27.9

be about Delphi in the murders of Abby and Libby. It's been back in the news lately after

0:35.9

being basically a cold case for a few years so we always thought we would do this episode

0:40.7

eventually but we figured now would be a good time to at least go through kind of like

0:45.5

the basics of it and so that people can understand the newer stuff coming out a little bit better

0:52.2

because even for us we had to refresh on some things for all of it to make sense just

0:57.4

because it's been so long and Olivia and I were very immersed in this case like we knew

1:03.0

and no just so much about this case that's like ridiculous. Well it hasn't really been five

1:08.6

whole years since it happened so yeah it's time has kind of faded a few things for us but it's

1:15.8

been good to get a refreshing go back through everything because yeah this is I think that this

1:20.5

is probably the case that we all like all the people at True Crime Society or the admins probably

1:25.4

know the most about generally yeah it sounds kind of shitty to say but this is basically our

1:31.9

origin story yeah how it all started yeah so I mean I guess we could talk about that a little

1:39.7

if you want to talk about starting the group since that was really all you so I was kind of weird

1:45.4

I feel like things change over time and this probably wouldn't happen today maybe like so what

1:51.2

happened anyway before I get ahead of myself is that we heard about this case we heard that these

1:55.0

girls were missing and there seemed to be a lot of media attention like an extra amount compared to

2:00.6

what happens today and you know even back then what was happening and there was especially for you

2:05.0

being in Australia yeah so there was so many people who seemed to be interested so we just thought

2:09.7

well let's make a group and I'm pretty sure we made the group before they were found even if I'm

2:14.4

right like it was anyway it was in the first few days when they were missing and then they were
