Summary

Pastor Louie Giglio // In 1977 Voyager left our atmosphere carrying with it a golden record. Filled with the ambient sounds of Earth, greetings spoken in languages from all over the World, and instructions on how to listen to them was it ever found, this record was our message to the stars. — Four decades later, we have the opportunity to hear a different message, one that has come from significantly further and at a much higher cost. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God has shown us who He is, He has called us loved, child, and prized. He paid for our sin and shame on the cross and rose again conquering even the grave. — His message is clear. Can you hear it?

1:01.0	I've been thinking about that question ever since a few weeks ago when I realized that there is a gold record flying through outer space.
1:11.0	A gold record? A real gold record is flying right now through outer space.
1:18.0	Apparently, that didn't hit you quite like it hit me when I figured that out.
1:23.0	Do you know what a gold record is, by the way? Anybody know what a gold record is?
1:28.0	And record terms like, no, if you ever heard of a gold record selling artist or a platinum selling artist, well, here's what that means.
1:35.0	You sell 500,000 of your records, you get awarded a gold record.
1:41.0	They give you a fake gold record with the artwork of your record and a plaque and you put it in your studio or in your wall in your house.
1:48.0	If you sell a million albums, you're a platinum selling artist.
1:53.0	And you get a platinum-looking record that looks really cool with your art around it in a frame.
1:59.0	I guess you have to be kind of in the music world to love gold records and platinum records.
2:03.0	But if you're a multi-platinum selling artist, you're doing pretty good.
2:06.0	We're not talking about that kind of gold record.
2:08.0	We're talking about a real live gold record is flying 40,000 miles an hour through outer space right now.
