1:37.5	How would you describe the current state of abortion reporting in the U.S.?
1:41.3	I'd say the current state is pretty poor.
1:49.5	The Sanford Disease Control does collect and release abortion data, but it's incomplete.
1:54.0	California has not reported any data to the CDC since 1997.
2:00.7	Other states like Maryland and New Hampshire also frequently don't report data, so that also makes it incomplete. It's also not
2:03.2	timely. The most recent data we have from the CDC on abortion is from 2022. And even though
2:10.4	states that do report, they don't always give us details about things like the age of the women
2:14.6	obtaining abortions or gestational age of the children who perish in abortions.
