Summary

Pastor Louie dove into Revelation 17 + 18 with us as we walked through the symbolism of the city of Babylon, and why this alluring city of the world will never satisfy. Our primary purpose in this life is to walk in relationship with our Creator. However, the beauty of God's eternal story is that it does end in a city—the Holy City of God.

0:21.7	If you have scripture today we are in Revelation 17 and 18 and it's a lot. This whole
0:29.6	journey has been a lot but today is a lot again and before we get into the text I want to remind us that our story
0:38.8	opens in a garden and ends in a city.
0:43.0	Our story, the story of our faith,
0:46.0	the story that we are on with Jesus,
0:48.0	it begins in a garden and it ends in a city.
0:52.0	You're like, what do you mean by that?
0:54.2	I mean that our story opens in Eden,
0:59.7	in the garden.
1:01.2	And it ends with the holy city of God, the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven.
1:11.6	In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and when he made men and breathed into him the breath of life
1:17.0	He placed him in paradise in a garden
1:20.5	And in this garden where he placed man there was responsibility. He was to manage the garden.
1:29.6	There was relationship. He put the man and the wife, the woman together and so there was
1:37.2	relationship, there was responsibility, there was beauty all around them and this was paradise. This was paradise. That's where we
1:50.2	started in a garden. But in the garden there was a voice. Anybody heard the voice that was in the garden by the way?
1:57.0	If you say, I don't know if the Garden of Eden was real. I don't know if the serpent was real. I don't know if the voice was real.
2:03.0	Has anybody heard the voice that was in the Garden of Eden?
