The Menendez brothers will not be home for Christmas.

A judge in Los Angeles

pushed back a resentencing hearing from December 11th to January 30th to give newly elected

DA Nathan Hockman time to review the thousands of pages of evidence in the case. Hockman on Foxes

The story. I'm going to be doing that thorough review of the facts and the law is apparently the judge

will as well.

Outgoing DA George Gascon recommended their sentences be changed to 50 years to life, making

them eligible for parole. The Menendez brothers were convicted in 1996 of killing their parents

in their Beverly Hills mansion seven years prior. The first trial, which included evidence of

sexual abuse at the hands of their father, ended in a deadlock. The retrial, which included evidence of sexual abuse at the hands of their father,

murder sentence. The brothers' two aunts appeared in court Monday calling for their release.
