0:47.0	1950, moved with his mother to Sydney in 1952. With a relationship described as unstable and referring to his mother as an alcoholic,

1:03.4	and out of the Melrose Boys' Home.
1:07.1	Michael later told a prison psychologist that he was sexually abused by both his mother and the people at the boys' home.
1:14.5	By the 1970s, Michael was charged with various offenses after setting fire to a shop owned by a woman with whom he had a relationship with.
1:22.1	But later, he was able to obtain a longstanding job as a gardener at the Royal North Shore Hospital.
1:29.5	Over the years, he developed an interest in the Aboriginal cultures,
1:33.5	even earning himself quite a bit of respect as an amateur expert
1:36.8	and acknowledgement in at least one published book.
1:40.7	However, living a life that seemed to constantly teeter between hardships and bad choices,
