0:57.5	couldn't teach me how to have a successful marriage any more than they could teach me how to fly.
1:03.0	Once reaching adulthood, Susan became a registered nurse,
1:06.9	moved to Oregon in the early 80s, and later settled in Portland.
1:12.1	Described as outgoing and vivacious, in 1988, a friend of hers and her mother paid for a
1:18.9	personal ad for Susan, looking for, quote, someone different.
1:23.8	The ad went on to read, SWF-33, overweight, but not over life, seeks SM, who wants more out of a relationship than just slender.
1:36.1	And before long, a man named Mike Kuhnhausen answered, and the pair spoke on the phone for the first time on January 30th, 1888.
1:46.2	One call turned into many, and after speaking for over a hundred hours, Susan finally agreed
1:53.8	to meet Mike in person in February and go on their first date. Within a year, the pair were in Reno, making it official.
2:03.3	Though the marriage started out as an incredibly happy one,
2:06.8	Susan later claimed that, not long after exchanging vows,
2:10.9	a shift took place and things began to sour.
