The unthinkable can happen even the safest seeming location.

On June 9, 1977, a young man was born who would in one night completely tear apart a family inside of their

quiet, safe home in Santa Claus, Georgia. So if you like your coffee hot, but your bones chilled,

sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder. Living on Dasher Street in the town of Santa Claus, Georgia was the Daniels family.

In a village of just 300 residents and hailed as the postcard perfect city that loves children,

where all the roads are named after reindeer, the splendid family was spearheaded by Danny

Daniels and his wife, Kim Daniels.

Having met seven years before, Danny, a mailman, helped Kim work through her drug addiction,

as well as overcome houselessness. They were married about five years before our story takes

place. In their picturesque home were two of their own children, and some foster children.

While life seemed perfect for the Daniels family, things were about to take a complete turn

just after midnight on December 4, 1977.
