In the last episode of Ozark's true crime, the Sandra Hemmy story,

we took you to the Livingston County courtroom, where we watched Sandy's evidentiary hearing.

We left off at the end of day, too, where Judge Ryan Horstman had continued the court hearing passed his typical 5 p.m. cutoff time.

We learn at this time that the Innocence Project has asked for a witness to come in that can only come that day.

So it's like, we know it's going to be a long day right now.

It's going to be a long day.

The reason the court ran late, Jane Poacher from the Innocence Project

has called Nancy Barman as a witness.

Nancy had known Patricia since first grade.

They both graduated high school together and stayed best friends through their adult life

up until Patricia's murder. Nancy calls her Patty and describes her friend as being kind and

dependable and a beautiful soul. She said that she was like a sister. Nancy Barman has shoulder

length blonde gray hair.

She's wearing a baby blue shirt with white stripes across it and a navy blazer.

And she's here to speak to Patricia's character.

And then another great moment when the witness walked in, who we find out her name is Nancy

Barman, the first interaction with Judge Ryan Horstman.

He goes, you appear to be very soft-spoken.

So just make sure you like try to talk really loudly for the court.
