In the last episode of Ozark's true crime, the Sandra Hemmy story, we took you through the final day of the hearing at the Livingston County courtroom.

We ended on the third day of the hearing early when we were approached by Cliff Middleton.

My main interest in her case is her two attorneys that she had. The first one, Del Sullivan, was found ineffective after her

trial in 1980. Her second attorney was Bob Duncan. Both of these attorneys were my father's

attorney when he was wrongfully convicted in 1991. In 1991, Cliff's stepmother was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

His father was found guilty of the murder, but Cliff is sure of his innocence.

With the hearing over, we're awaiting the lawyers in prosecution to submit their final documents

and for Judge Ryan Horstman to reach a verdict.

And though our time in the courtroom has come to a close, it's clear that Sandy's case

has rippled far beyond just her innocence. Cliff sees the echoes of his father's case, too.

Bob Duncan put on no evidence. He had none of the physical evidence examined prior to trial. He interviewed

no witnesses, which that's the same thing as Sandra Hemings case. He interviewed no witnesses.
