I was like, wow, what should he have done?

My name is Father Mike Schmitz and this is the Central Presents.

I recently came across this story that I found compelling.

Here's a husband and wife and they're traveling together and they're at the airport and they got to the gate and

their plane was about to board and the wife said she wanted coffee from a particular

coffee shop. No there was a coffee shop at the gate, but she didn't want coffee from that coffee shop.

She wanted coffee from a particular other coffee shop.

And so her husband says, no, if you go there, we're going to miss the flight.

And she said, no, I can make it. And he says, no, you can't. And she says,

so she leaves. She leaves to get her coffee at this other particular coffee shop.

They bored the plane and he got on the plane.

Then they closed the doors and he flew to their destination while she was still getting coffee.

So she missed the flight. Actually I'm sure there's other details. There's always other details.

I'm like, huh, here's a guy who's like, okay, husband and wife.

Don't go to the coffee shop because it's too far away, we'll miss our flight.

We've already paid for these tickets, they're boarding the plane, I'm gonna get on the plane.

Now it could have also been the situation where he was like I'm getting

on the plane because she said she'd make it back I trust her to make it back I'm going to get on the

plane and all of a sudden they're closing the door and he's like oh no what just

happened and he's not like trying to be defiant and saying like well you learned your lesson now what just

the accident and saying, like, well, you learned your lesson now, like maybe it's just the accident of like,

no, she said she'd make it back.
