Music will be a help to you today. I want you to open your copy of the Word of God to the Gospel according to Mark,

if you will, in the New Testament, the second book of your New Testament,

Mark chapter number one. If you don't have a Bible with you, I'm going to read from it in a

moment, but get down, scoot down and get next to somebody that does. I want you to look on some copy

of the scripture because there's a word that I want to bring to your attention this morning.

And I'm praying the Spirit of God will use it in a big way in the life of every person in this room.

In fact, let me just get this out of the way up front.

When I finish preaching in a few moments, I'm going to ask every person in this room to respond today, everybody.

And if you say, well, I'm not not responding then you've already made your

response but I'm going to ask every person in the room to respond to this

particular word because this word is for every one of us look at all as I read

would you mark chapter 1 beginning in verse 1 the beginning of the gospel of

Jesus Christ the son of God as it is written in the prophets,

behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

John did baptize in the wilderness and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

And there went out unto him all the land of Judea and they of Jerusalem and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan confessing their sins.
