Can a person really know for sure that they have eternal life? Is it arrogant for a person to presume that he or she will go to heaven when they die?

let's join Scott Pauli. What goes in must come out. Today we return to 1 John chapter number

four to really pick up with a principle that we learned recently in our study

you remember that I talked to you about the witness within that we we know we are

children of God because the Holy Spirit of God lives in us and assures our hearts the

Holy Spirit of God testifies to the reality of the truth of the gospel and of Christ in us.

Well, remember that the Holy Spirit who lives in us is then to be demonstrated through us.

In fact, in our last study, we talked about the love of God in us.

Should not be kept to ourselves, but it should

be demonstrated others. That's how people see and know the invisible God. They see God's love

in us. Well, on the heels of that, we come to 1 John chapter 4, verses 13 through 15, where the

Bible says, hereby know we that we dwell in him and he and us because he

has given us of his spirit. Now, if that sounds familiar to you, it certainly is because

we've established already. We have the evidence of the spirit within, but read on, verse 14,

and we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the

Savior of the world.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in Him, and He in God.
