When we get married when we're single, it means I make my own decisions, you know, hopefully under God's authority,

but financially, personally, schedule, priorities, all those kind of things that make no decisions.

When you get married, you can't do that.

You can't, you can't be an independent selfish person

in a relationship in a marriage without having a very frustrated spouse.

And so the word mine in marriage has to become the word hours.

We're talking about the worst word in marriage and this is actually the worst word in

marriage and a lot of people would think the worst word is divorce or whatever.

The worst word in marriage is word mine. Selfishness destroys marriage and marriage is brutal on selfish people.

Now I know that through personal experience

is that I was extremely selfish when we got married.

So when we almost divorced I was very dominant very selfish

dominance is selfish because you don't care about the other person's opinion

you bully people and I bullied you and whatever or you'll say whatever.

Or you'll say, whatever.

Whatever.

Well, so we almost divorced and I prayed a prayer. I read one morning in the Bible and I was a jerk as a husband but I mean I read

my Bible and we went to church and stuff but I read where Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes he'll lead you into all truth

and so one morning I prayed that the Holy Spirit would teach me out to be a husband.
