2024 has been one of the most eventful years of the 2020s decade, and we've officially reached the halfway mark in the year.

So it was only fitting for us to get together and compile a list of the top 10 best rap songs of 2024 so far.

And we're recording this on June 17th, so anything that came out after this date was not eligible, of course.

And we're also going to be doing an episode on our top 10 rap albums of the year on June 25th.

just because 2024, as I said, has been a massive year. We've had this tracks. We've had

comeback singles. We've had incredible album experiences as a whole. So let me start off by asking

you this, all right? Who do you think almost made the list that didn't for you? Like, what are

the honorable mentions that you're looking at? That's a great question. I feel like, you know,

a Polynesian by Smyno was definitely a song I was considering. I just don't think it was strong

enough. Lyrically. And yes, it's a great song for was considering. I just don't think it was strong enough lyrically.

And yes, it's a great song for the summer and I'm going to enjoy the vibe.

But I feel like there was better written tracks this year.

Another song that I was really contemplating bringing in, at least on my side, is the new common and Pete Rock song.

That was a song that I was considering.

I just like, it's tough because I haven't had enough time to live with it.

So I'm kind of maybe considering bringing that into an end of the year list or maybe looking around that side.

There was a lot of stuff that I wanted to bring off of We Don't Trust You,

but I only have one selection from that album.
