0:11.5	Listen, you know, so many people talk about in business building a culture, but when companies are small, very often, this is the last thing you think about.
0:19.5	And I really believe that if you're going to build something that's going to be lasting, if you're going to become a business owner and not a business operator, which is the trap that most small businesses find themselves in, and even medium-signed businesses will go there, then I think if you're going to do that, you have to decide that you're going to build something where you don't need to be there for it to really grow. And to do that, it's got to be based on a culture that's going to
0:41.5	cause the company to grow. You know, one of my favorite companies out there is Zappos and Tony Shea
0:46.5	is a dear, dear friend of mine. And, you know, he took a company, if you can imagine, that would sound like an idiotic idea. We're going to sell originally women's shoes on the Internet.
0:56.0	Well, what's wrong with that?
0:57.1	Everybody in their brother would say,
0:58.6	there's no way on earth this could ever happen.
1:01.2	You know, it's not going to happen.
1:02.0	Why?
1:02.2	Because they've got to try the shoes on.
1:03.4	It's never going to work.
1:04.4	But he did two brilliant things. offer, an irresistible offer, which, by the way, you want to change your company, change your offer.
1:11.2	I can just tell you right now, change your offer, change your life, change your company.
1:14.5	And the offer was, we're going to offer to send them as many shoes as they want, we'll pay
1:19.1	all the shipping, and if they don't like them, we'll pay to ship it back.
1:21.9	Could have bankrupt the company, except he understood something most people didn't understand,
1:26.1	which is women equate shoes with happiness.
1:29.0	And even if they don't fit perfectly, they think they will in the future and they'll squeeze into those babies.
1:34.1	Ladies listening know what I'm talking about, right?
1:36.6	And so I'm getting this, not from men telling me this, but from women telling me this.
