to chat with Dr. Julia Serrano.

So Julia earned her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biophysics from Columbia and worked as a researcher in genetics,

genetics, evolution,

and developmental biology.

She now mostly works as a writer, performer,

and activist.

And she has written several books including outspoken, excluded, sexed up, and whipping girl.

We're going to talk a bit about whipping Girl because it's in its third edition now.
